Sankat Mochan Music Festival is yearly musical celebration in Varanasi. It is celebrated in lieu of Hanuman Jayanti. The music festivals is very famous among locals, nationals and International people. There are several musicians from across India, feel privilege to give their performance at this musical celebration. Celebrated Musician like Pandit Jasraj, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, Vishwamohan Bhatt, Anup Jalota, Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, and so on are performing in April, 2018.

 

 

The six day long musical celebration is a tribute and ‘Haazari’ to Lord hanuman. The celebration takes place inside the Hanuman temple. This festivals has been celebrated since nine decades. It is said that this festival was established by Goswami Tulsidas. In this festivals, music lovers stay vigil all night to witness live concerts.

 

 

It is believed that by performing at this music festival soars the career of the artists. Thousands of people thronged in the temple to enjoy concerts. The entry to the concert is free. This april 2018, Bollywood Actress Dixit Nene will be also performing. There are popular artists like Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Nishant Khan and Ustad Ghulam Ali from Pakistan have performed at the festivals.
