Danny Boyle directed this academy award-winner legend and made young Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto two method stars.

 

The lunchbox

 

Fewer people know that they have a huge connection with food delivery people, popularly known as the dabbawalas. This movie is based on one such Dabba, or lunchbox, where one misplaced lunchbox strikes a chain of events resulting in the inception of an unknown bond between two people. Irrfan Khan and Nimrat Kaur, this was another decade classic, much more critically acclaimed than all other movies of the same year. 

 

Dangal 

 

Wrestling is one of the most sought-after sports in India, and around the world. There have been several legends in this field. Dangal is a movie, starring Amir Khan as the famed Mahavir Singh Phogat, Fatima Sana sheikh and Sana Malhotra as Geeta and Babita Phogat, the well-known Phogat sisters who ruled the women wrestling arena. Life of Pi

 

Based on a castaway child and his sufferings and understanding about God and faith, Life of pi is one of the most iconic movies ever made. An Ang Lee directed, it stars Irrfan Khan and Suraj Sharma as the adult and young pi Patel. This movie tested his faith and belief in God, and how he went on in a lifeboat stranded with a royal Bengal tiger. This movie was much appreciated by the critics as well and won the academy award for the best movie score among 4 others.
