Flood hit Kaziranga National Park in Assam. Floods induced by incessant rains in Assam for the last few days also hit Kaziranga National Park which is known for one-horned rhinos. Several areas of the national park have been inundated by floodwaters.

Around 40% of kaziranga national park has been inundated by flood waters due to incessant rains.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India issued a new order today with regard to the new sets of health warnings for all packs of tobacco products. The new notification will apply on packaging and labeling. Researchers of the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research – Guwahati (NIPER-G) have pop out with two products that promise to be of splendid help in the fight towards the current pandemic outbreak of COVID-19 infection in the world.

 

The first product is a 3-D-printed hands-free item that might be used to help open or close doors, windows, drawers (both vertical and horizontal), and fridge handle, or press elevator buttons, and laptop/desktop keyboards, along with turning the switch buttons on/off.

 

Doors, windows, switch buttons, elevator buttons, drawers handle, refrigerator handle, and laptop/laptop keyboards are of the most germ-infested gadgets in houses, hospitals, factories, companies, institutes, organizations, and different buildings. In this modern scenario of pandemic outbreak of COVID-19, this thing may play a key role in transmitting contamination from one man or woman to another through hand contacts or contaminated surface source.

 

The researchers came up with the design for the fabrication of the 3-D-printed item after a detailed analyses of numerous resources for risk size and on how viruses spread through bare hands.

 

The Director, NIPER-G , mentioned that the product was easy to layout, and was amenable to rapid development of prototypes. It changed into additionally handy, consumer friendly, non-fragile and easy to clean with the present sanitizers or any alcoholic disinfectant.
