750 MW Rewa Solar Project Madhta Pradesh India 1India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated Asia’s largest solar plant in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The Prime Minister initiated it through video conference. A 750 MW solar power project has started in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. In his address, the Prime Minister said that today Rewa has really created history. He said that solar energy is going to be a major medium of energy needs not only today but in the 21st century because solar energy is pure and secure.

Prime Minister said that we will not be able to fully harness the power of solar power unless we have better solar panels, better batteries, and better quality storage capacity in the country. Now fast work is going on in this direction. He said solar energy has also made the common customer productive, giving control of the power button completely. The participation of the common people in the mediums that produce electricity is negligible, but solar energy can generate electricity for the needs of the common people.

Vision for One World, One Sun, One Grid

Prime Minister said that seeing this expectation of the world, of humanity, of India, this expectation, we are engaged in connecting the whole world. The result of this thinking is ISA ie International Solar Alliance. This is the feeling behind One World, One Sun, One Grid. India is considered to be the most attractive market for clean energy. India is globally seen as a model.

Power reached everyone, reached enough. Our environment, our air, our water should also remain pure, with this thinking we are working continuously. This thinking is also reflected in our policy and strategy for solar energy.

Prime Minister said that when we are launching large projects of renewable energy, we are also making sure that our determination towards clean energy is seen in every aspect of life. We are trying that its benefits reach every corner of the country, every section of society, every citizen.

New Peak of Developments and moving toward self-sufficiency for India

Prime Minister said that as India is moving towards the new peak of development, our hopes and aspirations are increasing, in the same way our energy, electricity needs are also increasing. In such a situation, self-sufficiency of electricity is very important for a self-reliant India.

Prime Minister said that because other sources of energy may be gone, but the sun will always shine throughout the world. Pure because it helps protect the environment. Secure because it secures our energy needs. When all these projects are ready, Madhya Pradesh will definitely become a hub of cheap and clean electricity. The biggest benefit of this will be to the poor, middle class families, farmers, tribals of Madhya Pradesh. Solar energy is going to be a major medium of energy needs not only today but in the 21st century. Because solar energy is pure, pure and secure.

Prime Minister emphasized that India today has really created history in Rewa. Rewa has been identified as mother Narmada and a white tiger. Now the name of Asia’s largest solar power has also been added. This solar plant of Rewa will help in making this entire area a big energy center in this decade. The people of Madhya Pradesh will not only get electricity from this solar plant, but also the metro rail in Delhi will get its benefits.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), which has a vast urban train network that relies on electricity, is a customer of the solar project that was erected at an investment of Rs 4,500 crore. DMRC will receive 24 percent of the energy supply from the Rewa solar project.

Controversy behind the project for not being the Asia’s largest solar power

Single-site solar projects are just that – one project covering the entire site, and that is why the title of Rewa solar power plant as Asia’s largest solar project is justified, even though there are a number of solar parks that are larger than that of Rewa solar plant.
