Village of twins: Mohammadpur Umari, Uttar Pradesh, India

India is a place where there is numerous marvels. Some of them are mystical and amazing while some may be bizarre and hard to clarify. One such spot is the unassuming community of Mohammadpur Umri, prevalently known as the Village of twins. Umri as it is called popularly is a village in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh which is very famous for birthing twins since years.

Mohammadpur Kushambhi is the correct name of the village which is a very small one with a population of less than 900 people. It is sometimes labelled as the twin capital of the world due to the large number of twin people present. Out of an absolute populace of 600, there are right around 33 sets of twins here. The town flaunts a twin monozygotic (MZ) or indistinguishable twin birth rate that is multiple times the national normal and perhaps one of the most noteworthy in the world.

History of twins in Umari Village

Village of twins - Mohamed Pho Umari, Uttar Pradesh, India 1
A cute pair of baby born in Umari Village

The earliest twins were a couple of twin young ladies brought into the world not long after the partition and independence in 1947.In this town each fifth home is said to have a couple of twins. While a few families remain totally immaculate by this marvel, there are other people who have numerous no. of twins in a family. A 10-people family in this town is loaded up with twins aside from the guardians.

The most shocking part however is this is not just limited to the residents, yet into creatures and winged creatures in the town also. It is an ordinary event for a hen to lay eggs with twofold yolks or for the cows and wild oxen to convey twins.

Reason for presence of twins

Village of twins - Mohamed Pho Umari, Uttar Pradesh, India 3

There are various explanations being given for this twin quality factor. While the residents consider it God’s blessing or even partner it with something being available in the soil and water, researchers clearly assign it more in light of hereditary elements. A ton of Indian and worldwide researchers after some time have considered the DNA of these townspeople all the time are as yet confused over the purposes for this. It is something that can be seen across different religions and age gatherings and is given to be a blend of ecological and everyday environments chiefly because of an enormous number of intermarriages in the town.

Double the trouble!

Having such a significant number of indistinguishable twins in the town clearly gives the residents a great deal to share about the parody of mistakes that occurs regularly. From a similar kid being taken care of twice to an inappropriate individual being hit for another’s mix-up, the tales get more interesting from one house to the next.

Village of twins - Mohamed Pho Umari, Uttar Pradesh, India 2

In any case, having twins additionally brings a lot of monetary difficulty for the residents who battle to make a decent living. Regardless of the considerable number of guests who travel here consistently, almost no has been accomplished for the town by the Government; along these lines expanding the new born child death rate because of absence of available facilities, for example, clinical offices. Along these lines, in spite of the fact that the locals can be benevolent, be prepared to confront some obstruction also because of the day by day battles that they face.

Competing with the “Twin Town”

The humble community of Umri is regularly compared with Kodinhi in Kerala. Kodinhi shares the twin penchant with Umri with around 250 arrangements of twins among 2000 families. However, they are universes apart. While Umri is a town of poor and landless ranchers who experience money related difficulties; Kodinhi brags of well off families, most of them upheld by settlements from family members in the Gulf. The most unmistakable contrast however is in the clinical offices as Kodinhi has an ordinary specialist and even a twins relationship with a site which advances itself universally.

Due to mobile network problem, West Bengal teacher built a workspace on tree for teaching children online

I read a report released recently by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) which stated that Indian Internet infrastructure in terms of technology, connectivity and signal is really not completely ready for a shift to online learning platforms by students, teachers and educational institutions across India. In view of the Covid-19, almost all the education institution has been using somewhat digital platforms for classes. Therefore, there are several issues arising with regard to this is faced by our students and teachers while taking e-classes.

Due to mobile network problem, West Bengal teacher built a workspace on tree for teaching children online (3)

Recently something bizarre happened in West Bengal state of India. As you may know, all schools, colleges, universities and coaching centers in India are closed due to the lockdown. Teachers are teaching children online. Some people are facing challenges of poor network and internet in their delivery of classes. Due to this problem in West Bengal, a teacher is forced to climb a tree and teach children.

Due to mobile network problem, West Bengal teacher built a workspace on tree for teaching children online

Mr Subrata, a teacher who hails from a small countryside village in Bankura district due to slow internet speed, he sets up his workspace on a tall tree so that he could take online classes without network interruption. He made a small platform like shelter using some bamboo, iron nails and threads spreading carpet on it. Installed his phone and put some books beside. He shared that he don not get proper mobile network everywhere in our village. The Mobile tower is quite far from the village. Thus, for better connectivity and smooth flow of internet data, Mr Subrata sets up his workspace on the tall tree where his mobile receives fair signal.

Due to mobile network problem, West Bengal teacher built a workspace on tree for teaching children online (1)Mr Subrata climbs the tree at 9:30 am for the first class after heavy breakfast and brings some water and snacks along with him on the tree. His classes end at 6 pm in the evening. All day long, Mr Subrata sits on the tree. Teachers like Mr Subrata may be considered as an icon and inspiration for others; however this has also led to the question of India’s internet infrastructure. It may be a distant dream for all of us to get shifted to a complete reliance on the online platform for delivery of classes & meetings.

While the Country is in Lockdown, a Couple from Maharashtra Dug a Well to Solve Water Crisis

You must have heard numbers of stories of brave Indian who have proved the world that nothing is impossible in the world, if you really wish to achieve it. While writing this blog today, I recall a very popular and inspiring dialogue from one my favorite movie “Manjhi: The Mountain Man” where Dashrath Manjhi says “Never depend upon God. Who knows that God may depend upon you?” It is universal that the true winners choose and pave the way for themselves and acclaim it till last breadth.

There is something very similar situation happened today while whole India is quarantined in their home since March 20, 2020 due to lockdown. Meanwhile nation fights with Covid-19 and the lockdown prevails across India, a couple who hails from the state of Maharashtra dug a well of 25-foot outside their house.

Mr Gajanan who is a resident of Karkheda village in Washim district had been digging from last 3 weeks. Fortunately on the 21st day of the excavation, the couple found water under the ground.

The family had no experience of digging well except the Mr Gajanan. Along with him, his wife and 2 children encouraged and helped during the digging. Inspite of several instructions from police officials to remain inside house, the couple went on to solve their problems of water. The family was always dependent on government water supply which is mostly closed. Therefore the family decided to dig a well as an alternative and permanent solution.

Importance of Media Management in Filmmaking

The importance of media management in filmmaking is the same as the importance of filmmaking in India. The former lies at the heart of the latter.

What is Media Management?

Media management is the act of coordinating and controlling media related organizations and business capacities. This takes into account the management roles for the media business, media outlet, film making and media related groups in other industries. Media management is a wide practice that can include Business strategy, marketing communications, media strategy, public relations, social media management, media analysis, media procurement, media technology, media production, media distribution, sales, talent management, media measurement, product development, product management, legal rights and media asset management.

Importance of media management in filmmaking - Blog - Filming indo 1

The importance of Media Management in film making can be well understood by these principles of media management.

Principles of Media Management

  1. You are in association with all other people who are choosing the promoting plan. A media plan is an expansion of the promoting plan and should mirror the general showcasing and innovative system. Your media plan can’t exist in a vacuum and be powerful.
  2. Media management is cash management. Media suggestions are an interest in a publicist’s the same old thing. By settling on the savviest media choices, you gain the best rate of return.
  3. Contribution with all media is an essential imperative. Work in one medium, to the avoidance of others, breeds slender reasoning. Think about all the alternatives. Never search for the speedy arrangement basically to spare time.
  4. Numbers don’t figure—individuals do. Numbers are a major piece of a media organizer’s everyday exercises. In any case, don’t depend entirely on them to settle on your choices or contend your case. Utilize your feelings, your gut, and your senses.
  5. Cost proficiency is significant, however not at the expense of promoting viability. You should ensure your clients see and hear the publicizing you are putting—regardless of whether it costs a couple of pennies more in one medium than in another.
  6. Support is as significant as building. It isn’t sufficient essentially to make a media plan. All plans must be observed after they are actualized to guarantee that timetables are followed, situating is ideal and proliferation is satisfactory.
  7. Everybody ought to be kept educated. Try to keep your accomplices educated about media issues and evolving elements. The more everybody knows, the better their comprehension and valuation for your media proposals.
  8. Keep your entryway open to media providers. Media sales reps regularly find out about their particular medium than you, as a media organizer, will ever know. They can be a storage facility of relevant data that will assist you with settling on better media choices. Be real to life with them and keep them side by side of your needs.
  9. Contribute beyond media arranging. As a media organizer, your most prominent commitment will be in media arranging and purchasing. In any case, try not to be restrained about suggesting showcasing, imaginative, special, or new item thoughts that can fabricate a promoter’s the same old thing.
