The fear of Corona has already increased the panic among the people of UP and Bihar village. Thousands of migrant laborers reached the village after the closure of the work in big cities due to the lockdown.

Atmosphere of concern

These migrant laborers returning to Bihar and UP by walk and some other means from metros like Mumbai and Delhi are being kept in quarantine centers after investigation by police, but the situation is expected to deteriorate due to many people fleeing these centers. As per the report, at various centers people fled away crossing boundaries and breaking away the gate without the fear of police and their life. They said that they are not getting proper facility of essentials things like clean water, food etc at those quarantine centers.

Cleaning will reduce encephalitis

People are losing their drinking habits due to non-opening of liquor shops. Young children are learning the meaning of cleanliness and holding hands. Family members have become closer. Diseases like encephalitis are already causing havoc in Uttar Pradesh. Thousands of children have lost their lives in UP in last four decades. Dirt, poverty and malnutrition are the main causes of encephalitis.

People from outside come to the village

People in the village are taking it lightly. Vigilance is negligible there. Many people came from outside have not been investigated before, they are also roaming around. Most of them hide in their house without anyone informing about their arrival. Neither people from outside went for investigation, nor did the team of doctors come to the village. Positively in some villages of UP, the Govt schools has been kept for quarantine facility for these workers where these people are supporting the initiative.

Difficult to identify silent people

There are also people coming from buses or by other means were stopped at bus stops and they were sent to villages. All of them have been arranged to live with social distancing. After checking those coming from abroad, home quarantines are also pasting notices. It is difficult to know about the people who reach the village and those who come in contact with them.

Two people escaped from the Quarantine Center

A quarantine center has been built at Murari Inter College in Sahajanwa, about 20 km before Gorakhpur on NH-28, for those who returned from outside, but two of those who came here fled home in the night. 10 to 12 people living in this center are in panic. A laborer has a cough-fever but is not getting treatment.

More migration to UP and Bihar

It is expected that after the lockdown more migrant workers will leave Delhi, Mumbai and other big towns, as almost all the manufacturing units have been closed and are suffering with heavy loss. There is assumption that millions of workers would leave their job and are left with no option to return to their village. Even, it is expected that after lockdown finish, these workers would move around Bihar and UP for work and then it will be a big job for local administration to absorb them.

India as a land of fairs and festivals

The country-India is known for its rich culture and heritage. One of the important part of this culture is to host a lot of fairs and exhibitions popularly known as ‘melas’. These melas are organized in almost every part of the country including towns and cities. The magnitude of these fairs vary from place to place. People of all age groups are attracted towards these fairs as they have something to offer for everybody. Among millions of fairs organized in India some have attained a very important place in our hearts. These are Kumbh Mela, Sonepur Cattle Mela, Pushkar Fair, Gangasagar Mela, Surajkund Mela, and many more.

General Information on Surajkund Mela

Trade fairs are one of their kind as they bring together unity in diversity in India by bringing together all kinds of customers, manufacturers, exporters, suppliers under one roof which results in boosting the economy. One of such fairs is Surajkund Mela.

 

This fair is held in Surajkund District, Faridabad, Haryana. It is the largest crafts fair in the world and is held during the 1st two weeks of February every year. It experiences a footfall of more than a million people which includes nationals as well as foreign tourists. Around 1010 work huts with 40 acres of land is covered with this mela. Surajkund Mela begins its journey in 1987. The fair is conducted each year by the mutual collaboration of various Ministries i.e Tourism, Culture, Textile, MEA, GoH and Tourism.

Entry Tickets and upcoming date 2020

The price of a ticket to enter the fair stays mostly between Rs.50 and Rs.200 every year. This year the price was Rs.120 for a weekday and Rs.180 for weekends per person. It was held during 1st and 16th February 2020 this year. It was the 34th mela this time with 33 fairs held in the past. Uzbekistan was the international partner during the fair.

Theme and other salient features

The prime feature of the Surajkund Mela is that one Indian State gets the unique respect of being the Theme State of the year. The idea of the Theme State was carried upon so as to advance and bring under light the craftsmanship, art, culture, and cuisine, handicrafts, handlooms of one state for every year.

 

Along these lines, the Mela gives the Theme State a rare opportunity to exhibit its handlooms, architecture, performing arts, cuisines, and its tourist potential to a tremendous cross-segment of the population in a noteworthy way. Vardhaman was born about 600 years ago in Kundalpur to Kshatriya dynasty, father Siddartha and mother Trishala. Apart from Mahavir, Vardhman is also called ‘Veer’, ‘Atvira’ and Sanmati. Lord Mahavira showed the whole society the path of truth and non-violence. The community of Jainism celebrates this festival with great fanfare.

The first thirty years of Lord Mahavira were like ‘Lotus’ in the swamp of royalty and luxury. Twelve years thereafter, he became so absorbed in the worship of Mangal Sadhana and self-awakening in the dense forest that the clothes of his body fell apart.

 

After twelve years of silent penance of Lord Mahavira, he attained ‘Keval Gyan’. After attaining mere knowledge, for thirty years Mahavira composed four pilgrimage sages – Sadhvi, Shravak and Shravika for public welfare. These Sarvodaya Tirthas did not have boundaries of region, time, time or caste.

 

Lord Mahavira’s self-religion was the same for every soul of the world. He said that we should have the same behavior and thoughts towards others that we like ourselves. This is his principle of ‘live and let live’. He not only gave the message of liberation to this world, but also showed the simple and true path of liberation. In order to attain spiritual and eternal happiness, we should also state the five basic principles like truth, non-violence, aparigraha, acharya and celibacy.

 

By putting these principles in his life, Mahavira is called ‘Jin’. From ‘Jin’ only ‘Jain’ has been made, that is, the work, desire, senses, and distinction that has been created is the Jain. Lord Mahavira conquered his senses and was called Jitendra. He considered violence not only to cause pain to the body, but also to hurt someone with mind, speech and deeds is violence from his point of view.

Message of non-violence

Mahavir Swami was a priest of non-violence. He believed that all the living beings (creatures of one, two, three, four and five senses) etc. should not commit violence in this creation. It should not stop them from going their way. One should be respectful to all of them, as well as protect them.

Always speak the truth

Regarding truth, Lord Mahavira says that man should consider truth as a true element. In relation to the truth, Lord Mahavira said that the intelligent man who remains in the command of the truth swims to death.

Imperfection

Lord Mahavira said about the Aprihagra that a person who collects inanimate things or he makes such a collection to others or advises others to do such a collection. Such a person can never get rid of sorrows. For the welfare of the world, Lord Mahavira wanted to give this message to the world through Aparigraha.

Brahmacharya

Lord Mahavir gives his very invaluable teachings about Brahmacharya that Brahmacharya is the root of perfect penance, rules, knowledge, philosophy, character, restraint and humility. Brahmacharya is the best austerity in penance. Men who do not belong to women, they move towards the path of salvation.

Best sorry

Regarding forgiveness, Lord Mahavira says- ‘I apologize to all living beings. I have friendship towards all the creatures of the world. I do not hate anyone. I have settled in religion with a sincere heart. I apologize to all beings for all crimes. I forgive all the crimes committed by me. The Lord also says, ‘All the sins of the sins that I have resolved in my mind, whatever sin circles have been revealed by the word and all the sinful things that have been done by the body, all my sinful memories have failed. All my sins are false. ‘

Religion

Lord Mahavira has described religion as the best Mars. Do not give grief to any living being by mind, deeds and words, and non-violence, moderation and tenacity is the only religion. God says Mahavir, who praises religion, who always has religion in his mind, the deity also salutes him.
