If you go to the offices, it is like a rain of the sanitizer like a flower waterfall from the archway. Large plants were set up. Corona gave a lot of work to all the NGOs. 5G cleared the way in one stroke. It seems that the whole world has become digital and virtual. By the way, WhatsApp and Facebook had already indicated that now is the time for the virtual world. 1. Kireet Khurana

He is an Indian filmmaker, film director and story teller. He made the first animation and live action film called ‘Toonpur Ka Superhero,’ starring Ajay Devgn and Kajol. 3. Ram Mohan

He is also known as the ‘Godfather of Indian Animation.’ He worked in films like ‘Ek Anek and Ekta.’ He also created animation for mainstream Hindi films like ‘Shatranj Ke Khiladi,’ ‘Pati Patni aur Woh,’ and ‘Bhuvan Shome.’

 

4. Ishu Patel 

He is an Indian animation film director and educator. During his 25 years at the National Film Board at Canada, he developed the under-lit pinhole technique with the various passes for the film ‘Paradise.’ In the film ‘Pespectrum,’ Ishu Patel had adapted the Norman McLaren technique of multiple passes and variable exposures. Mr Patel has won many international awards including two British Academy Awards, two Grand Prix, two Oscar nominations and Silver Beer Award at the Berlin film festival.

 

5. Dhimant Vyas

He is often known as the ‘King of Clay.’ He is given the credit of bringing the clay animation in the Indian Animation Industry. Dhimant Vyas is also an Alumni of National Institute of Design (NID). He has worked in many projects at Ardaman Studios. He has given his contribution in the films like ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ He has also done commercials for BBC, ZEE TV, MTV, UNICEF, Cartoon Network, Pogo, Nickelodeon. Visas and Permits

All the countries of the Himalayan region require a visa to enter. If you want to keep it legal and above board then in your production plan you will need to start this phase early. For the application process you should approach the Indian Embassy or Consulate of the countries concerned. In most cases your Media Fixer won’t be able to get local permits in your name unless you have a general authorization to shoot in the region. Broadly speaking, these formalities take 3-16 weeks to complete but this differs greatly from country to country. The costs of all the necessary permits and the expenses of the fixer associated with early acquisition of them are worth investigating.

 

Get in to Himalayas

Some towns can be reached by road in the Himalayas, and some by train or plane, although many of the more rural areas need trekking.

 

The Dhauladhar range in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is the fastest route to amazing Himalayan locations. It’s a short one hour and 20 minute domestic flight to Dharamshala airport, where you land right in the foothills of the mountains, after arriving at Delhi International airport. A quick hour and a half drive away and you can fly to nearby high snow-capped mountains in an unspoilt valley.

 

Climate

Due to the altitude and shortage of any significant body of water nearby to balance the climate, the Himalayan weather is more extreme than in other places with similar latitudes. Many of the peaks have year-round snow atop them, and there are many glaciers.

 

Throughout the region there is a wide variation in micro-climates; two valleys only a few miles apart though isolated by the mountains may have quite different climates because one gets more sun or the wind patterns affect them in different manner.

 

Flora and Fauna

There are over 163 worldwide threatened species found around the Himalayas. It includes Asia’s three biggest herbivores – Asian elephant, bigger one-horned Rhinoceros, and wild Water Buffalo – and Tiger, its largest carnivorous.

 

The grasslands of the Himalayas have the densest number of Bengal tigers, residing alongside Asian elephants and one-horned rhinos. The mountains offer red pandas, golden langurs, and takins refuge. This is the world’s only known location where Bengal tigers and snow leopards share their habitat.

 

Communications

In the Himalayas this can be extremely difficult as you easily lose coverage of your cell phone network. When you’re filming in India, it doesn’t allow satellite phones and UHF / VHF radios to be used, but they allow unlicensed CB radios and have a limited mountaineering frequency band. Rural has a range of useful GPS gears that not only enable you to monitor your position and follow directions, but also enable you to stimulate an emergency response, display your exact location and send text messages through the use of the Iridium satellite network.

 

Safety

Altitude sickness is a concern, with many of the Himalayan passes reaching 5000 m. Raise your altitude as slowly as possible, stop traveling from low to high level, limit your physical activity; and drink plenty of liquids after altitude gain. Sickness at altitude is unpredictable, and may strike individuals who have not had problems before. Allow yourself plenty of flexibility in your plans, and don’t push higher when you’re about to rest.

 

Location

The Himalayas spread through a number of countries. India has many great locations including:

 

Jammu and Kashmir — This was a popular destination for travelers with its mountains and lakes, before the Pakistan-India dispute escalated. Although Srinagar is reasonably safe, much of the countryside is dangerous and some of it off-limits, particularly along the border.

 

Ladakh is the important exception here, an independent Kingdom with its own culture for centuries but now administratively part of Kashmir. It is not to be missed, offering much in the way of sight-seeing, and trekking.

 

Himachal Pradesh A friendly laid back, primarily Hindu state, with a population of Tibetan Refugees; popular with tourists;

 

Uttaranchal Another state of India, the Ganges source, has many pilgrimage sites in it.

 

Uttar Pradesh A state that is mainly on the plains but bordering the mountains, including some.

 

There are many Buddhist monasteries and related sight in Sikkim Wedged between Nepal, Bhutan, China and West Bengal. Here trekking is restricted because of the border’s closeness to China. You may need a local fixer and go as a party, and the number of routes is very small.

 

West Bengal much of the province is on the plains, a heavily populated agricultural and manufacturing region, but the northern edge extends into the mountains. As a tourist destination the area around Darjeeling is popular.

 

Arunachal Pradesh At the extreme northeast of India and seldom visited by visitors, this state is a fascinating mix with a large tribal population; people follow the religious practices of Animist, Hindu, Buddhist, and Baptist.

The film revolves around the stories of Sahibzada Ajit Singh (played by Harman Baweja), Fateh Singh, Zorawar Singh and Jujhar Singh. The narration of the movie is provided by Om Puri. TYPES OF PRODUCTS

There are more than 450 shoddy spinning units in the district with an production of 4.50 lakh kilograms per day and a Rs 650 crore turnover, the industry employs 45,000 to 50,000 people in the area.

 

ECONOMY

Panipat’s woolen industry with a 1.5 crore Rs turnover per day is the largest shoddy yarn producer in the country.

 

The Panipat textile cluster’s projected annual output is priced at 950 crore. Tirupur has emerged as a leading export cluster in knitwear over the past two decades, and has built its presence in Europe, the US, and the Pacific. The Tirupur cluster has evolved as a highly connected unit cluster which transforms cotton into knitwear products together. Specific units are particularly specialized in the manufacturing, dyeing, processing, sewing and export marketing of fabrics.

 

Known as ‘T-shirt City,’ this town’s industry began producing low-value cotton hosiery products, primarily in the 1930’s under garments. In 1937 Gulam Kadar, who founded “Baby Knitting Industries” in the Kaderpet area of Tirupur, brought Knitting to this district.

 

Tirupur has traditionally produced knitwear and, in particular, established its name in India in the manufacture of cotton underwear. Tiruppur also specializes in the low-volume mid-fashion market , particularly in the wear and supply of children and women to some of the world’s leading retailers, such as Marks and Spencers.

 

Tirupur knitwear cluster has diversified its production portfolio from being manufacturers of simple knitwear for the lower end of the domestic market to a range consisting of t-shirts, polo shirts, sportswear, sweat shirts, ladies’ dresses, children’s apparel, nightwear, etc. The cluster requires a significant degree of specialization in most areas including supply of machinery in addition to every area of the production operation.

 

EMPLOYMENT

Tirupur knitting industry employs more than 3.5 lakhs of people from neighboring districts and states, including both local and migrated labor force. The labour-power available to the firms in and around Tirupur is of agricultural base and as such the skill level has always been a concern for the producers. But even in the absence of formal training in and within companies, the average time spent in the manufacturing process is three weeks for an agricultural labour to absorb.

 

In the Tirupur knitting industry the average ratio of male to female is 50 per cent. There are two payment systems in Tirupur and, according to the representative of the trade union, 30 per cent of the workforce is under piece rate and rest work is under shift. For their contract labor, most factories work with contractors and almost 40 percent of the workforce is on contract basis.

 

Tirupur textile industry has units along the knitwear value chain starting from spinning , weaving, wet processing, printing, fabrication of garments, embroidery, compacting, calendar and exports. As of 2008, as reported by Tirupur Exporter Association (TEA), the Tirupur cluster comprises a total of 6250 units in different value chain.

 

ECONOMY

Around 45% of India’s clothing is in the form of knitwear, and here the Tirupur Tamilnadu center plays a pivotal role, producing as much as 80% of the knitted clothing exports; in other words, around 4% of India’s total export trade.

 

In 2006-07 the export crossed the Rs. 11,000 crores mark from a meager Rs.10crores in 1984. In 2007-08, rupee-to-dollar export appreciation decreased by 10 per cent and Rs. 9,950crores were reported.

 

DEVELOPMENT

There are numerous local representative institutions and support bodies, as well as government initiatives, which have had a major effect on the growth of the knitwear sector in Tirupur, including:

 

Textiles Committee under the Ministry of Textiles, Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC); South Indian Hosiery Manufacturers’ Association (SIHMA), more active, Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) representing the knitwear exporters in the city; and Knit Cloth Manufacturer’s Association (KNITMA), Tirupur Dyers Association and Tirupur Export Knit Printers Association (UNIDO, 2005).

 

The organization of exporters, Tirupur Exporters Group (TEA), has certainly enabled growth of the cluster. It works with the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) to create a fashion and training center in Tirupur in addition to organizing international trade fairs in Tirupur. This has embarked on an ambitious program to develop Tirupur’s urban infrastructure, in partnership with a state agency and a global private firm.

Until 1980 Ichalkaranji was popular for poplin cotton, dhoti, and saris cotton. The town’s weavers started making cotton, cloth, chiffon and fabric for school uniforms (khaki drill) in the mid-1980s. Most domestic and foreign fashion brands like Raymond’s of India, Armani, Banana Republic, Hugo Boss and Paul Smith use fabrics like seersucker, Oxford, herringbone, ripstop, chambray, tweed, and twill manufactured in or around the Ichalkaranji region.

 

The Kolhapur manufacturing industry is also known for the Kolhapuri chappal, a hand-crafted buffalo leather slipper that is tanned locally using vegetable colouring. Many crafts include: hand-held silk printing; metal, bead and paste jewelry crafts; pottery; wood carving and lacquerware; brass sheet work and metal artwork oxidized; and lace and embroidery making.

EMPLOYMENT

Ichalkaranji, known as the ‘Manchester of India in Maharashtra,’ has approximately 25 spinning machines of 1.25 lakh power looms, 20,000 semi-automatic looms and 9,000 shuttle-less looms to operate until December 2018, of a regular turnover of almost $110 billion (US$140 million).

 

Besides various power stations and hand manufacturing buildings, the town produces one crore meter of yarn which translates into a daily Rs 45 crore market. Of the overall output, 15 percent is exported directly and another 40 percent after processing is for indirect export. More than 50,000 weavers rely on their livelihoods working in the power looms in town, according to the locals.

 

Among the reasons that inspired Italian textile giant Tessitura Monti, Turkish textile manufacturer ‘Soktas,’ Bombay Rayon Fashions Ltd (BRFL), Raymond Zambaiti Ltd, German Menswear brands Liebe, Boys R Bad and Looty, etc., were the availability of a skilled workforce and the level of technical know-how and simple accessibility to the finest Ichalkaranji weavers.

ECONOMY

Textile Industry plays an important role in the Indian economy and significantly contributes to its export earnings. Textiles exports share almost 30 per cent of total exports in the country. DEVELOPMENT

Together with Ichalkaranji Co-operative Industrial Estate, Laxmi Co-operative Industrial Estate, Parvati Industrial Estate, and DKTE Textile and Engineering Institute, the Municipal Council has established a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) company named ‘Ichalkaranji Textile Development Cluster Limited (ITDC) in order to enhance and expand the city’s infrastructure facilities.

 

Under the Industrial Infrastructure Upgradation Scheme (IIUS), individual members would contribute to the extent of approximately 50 per cent of project costs and the balance sum will come from the grant in assistance from the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy, Government of India.

 

Ichalkaranji Textile Development Cluster (ITDC), a company incorporated under the 1956 Companies Act, is a special purpose corporation established by Ichalkaranji to undertake projects under the IIUS for infrastructure development. SPV company’s principal artifacts are:

1. To form a Textile Cluster, a local agglomeration of small, medium and large textile and supplementary companies engaged in manufacturing, marketing and supplementary goods and services.
2. Providing sufficient water supply, roads, drainage systems, power plants, general infrastructure facilities such as Textile Industries Waste processing plants.
3. To include quality improvement facilities, specific test facilities, research and development .
4. Providing fire-fighting facilities, traditional effluent treatment plants and supporting and improving vital textile, commercial and industrial infrastructures.
